New · Home charging
Reimburse home charging at the right cost, automatically
Every home charging session measured from the car's own data, valued in euros, ready for payroll. No box, no connected charger.
For fleet managers, payroll teams and leasing companies
The problem
A flat allowance is a guess
Home charging is a real cost for the employee and a real line for payroll. Today it is settled on an average.
- 01
It fits nobody
A flat monthly allowance reflects neither the employee's mileage nor their electricity price, so the company over- or under-reimburses.
- 02
Measuring means hardware
Actual usage usually means a dedicated MID meter or a connected charger at every home: purchase, installation, maintenance, and a new case at every move or car change.
- 03
An audit wants evidence
Without dated, verifiable evidence, an actual-cost reimbursement is hard to defend in a URSSAF audit (the French social security inspection).
- 04
Payroll by photograph
In practice it runs on meter photos and back-and-forth with payroll. Every employee, every month.
How it works
From the car's own data to payroll
Four steps, nothing installed. The same flow for every electric car in the fleet, whatever the brand.
- 01
The employee declares their home
Their home address becomes a geofenced zone limited to that address, with their explicit consent.
- 02
Sessions are detected
Linkbycar detects charging sessions in the manufacturer data inside that zone: kWh added, start and end time.
- 03
Each session is valued
At the employee's own contract rate if provided, or at a reference rate set by the company.
- 04
Payroll gets a report
A monthly report per employee and per fleet, as a CSV or Excel export or over the API, backed by the session history.
What you get
A reimbursement you can defend
For the fleet manager who runs the cars, the payroll team that pays the line, and the leasing company that offers it to its clients as a service.

Paid on kWh actually charged
Reimbursement follows the kWh each car took on at home, not an average.
Nothing to install
No equipment to buy, install or maintain, and nothing to move when an employee does.
A dated history per session
Exportable, and usable as supporting evidence in a URSSAF audit.
Straight to payroll
A direct export per employee and per month, in the format payroll already uses.
One flow, every brand
One data flow for the whole electric fleet, whatever the manufacturer.
Home zone only
Location limited to the declared home zone, with consent. This module shows no other trip.

What home charging costs your fleet
Change any assumption and the figures follow. The calculation runs in your browser; nothing you type leaves this page.
Estimate
- Charged at home
- 204 kWhper vehicle, per month
- To reimburse
- €40.80per vehicle, per month
- For the fleet
- €12,240measured cost, per year
- Gap vs flat allowance
- €2,760over-reimbursed, per year
Illustrative estimate from your assumptions. Linkbycar reimburses the kWh actually measured per session.
FAQ
Common questions about home charging
Is it compliant with URSSAF rules?
Electricity costs covered by the employer for charging an electric company car are excluded from the social contributions base, whether they are reimbursed at a flat rate or at actual cost (BOSS and URSSAF doctrine, see urssaf.fr). An actual-cost reimbursement still needs the kWh, the rate and a traceable calculation, which is what the session history provides.
How is the price per kWh set?
Either the employee's own contract rate, taken from their electricity bill, or a common reference rate chosen by the company. Whichever you choose is applied consistently.
Do employees need a charger or a meter?
No. The data comes from the vehicle itself, through the manufacturer's API. There is no MID meter or connected charger to fit at the employee's home.
What about the employee's privacy?
Location is limited to the declared home zone, with the employee's explicit consent, and the data is hosted in the EU. The employee can revoke consent.
What about charging at the office or on public chargers?
Only sessions inside the declared home zone count, so no session is counted twice.
Can we switch over gradually?
Yes. Deploy on part of the fleet first and compare with your current allowance before changing anything else.

Book a demo
See Linkbycar running in thirty minutes
Send us your plates or VINs. We come back vehicle by vehicle: which ones are compatible with manufacturer data, which ones need a box, and what data each one returns.
Thirty minutes with our team
We show you the platform live and answer your questions. Send us your plates and we tell you what each vehicle can report.
Nothing to fit on compatible vehicles
Compatible vehicles are activated remotely.* No workshop visit, no fitting, and no vehicle off the road.
No commitment
You keep the vehicle-by-vehicle answer whether or not you go further with us.
* Activation time depends on the manufacturer and can take up to 48 hours.
Request received.
We come back to you within 48 hours to set up the demo. Send us your plates or VINs and we tell you what each vehicle can report. If it is urgent, reply to the confirmation email and a person reads it.
